Bloomberg Raids Tina Brown's 'Newsweek'
GM Alan Bone defects to 'Businessweek'
In another defection from the Newsweek Daily Beast Co., Newsweek vet Alan Bone was hired away by Bloomberg Businessweek. As Businessweek’s head of international circulation, a new position, Bone will be responsible for launching Businessweek’s two new regional editions in Europe and Asia that were announced last month.
The business title also said it would raise its rate base to 980,000 from 900,000 in early 2012. Bone will start Sept. 19 and report to Alec Casey, head of worldwide circ.
