Bloomberg Will Announce a 24/7 Livestreaming Channel on Twitter (Report)

The channel will feature live news reporting from Bloomberg’s bureaus throughout the globe and videos posted by Twitter users

Livestreaming is going 24/7 on Twitter, as Lukas I. Alpert of The Wall Street Journal reported that financial news giant Bloomberg will announce an as-yet-unnamed full-time livestreaming channel, exclusively for Twitter, to debut this fall.

Bloomberg founder Michael Bloomberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will announce the partnership at a Bloomberg event for advertisers Monday, Alpert reported.

According to Alpert, the channel will feature live news reporting from Bloomberg’s bureaus throughout the globe, as well as a “curated and verified” selection of videos posted by Twitter users.

Twitter chief operating officer Anthony Noto told Alpert:

We really think we can reach audiences that are not paying for TV and are watching television on the go, and we think Bloomberg is the perfect partner for us to start with.
