BJ Writer Accuses Klein of Wanting to 'Kill Black Babies'

BigJournalism writer Lori Ziganto wrote an inflammatory post over the weekend that sounded like a National Enquirer headline: She said WaPo‘s Ezra Klein “supports killing black babies.”

The attack came in reaction to a Friday post by Klein about taxpayer cost of unwanted pregnancies.

“Setting the horrid spin aside, his concluding paragraph is vile,” writes Ziganto, a self-described “icky conservative” who home schools her 7-year-old daughter. It’s in that paragraph, where Klein says, “It’s somewhat cold to put it in these terms, but taxpayers end up bearing a lot of the expense for unintended pregnancies among people without the means to care for their children,” that Ziganto finds his alleged “support for killing black babies.”
