Fans of Bill Simmons have been wondering what his new website will be, and now we have some answers: Say hello to The Ringer.
The site is just a holding page for now, with “A new digital venture from Bill Simmons” plastered underneath the logo. There’s also Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts registered to The Ringer. The Ringer’s Twitter bio says the site is “Coming later this year.”
As you might have guessed, The Ringer will be much like Grantland, which was shuttered by ESPN after Simmons left the company.
Politico reports that according to trademark filings, The Ringer will feature “downloadable podcasts, webcasts and electronic publications in the fields of entertainment, sports, sports and social commentary, pop culture, movies, music, television, technology, electronics, celebrities, current events, news, politics, lifestyle, and topics of general interest.”
