Earlier this summer, an arbitrator found that Time Inc had violated its contract with Sports Illustrated employees when it reduced the hours and pay of all its copy editors and photographers. And there’s a happy ending: as of August 1, all seven copy editors were restored to fulltime status. All ten photogs weren’t brought back to fulltime in order to guarantee no layoffs in that department, but they did have their guaranteed hours increased.
