Bebo Debuts Open Mobile Platform

AOL’s Bebo social network has launched an Open Mobile partnership program meant to make it faster and easier for third-parties to integrate with the Bebo service, Mobile Entertainment reports.

The new offering is the mobile answer to the company’s Open Media platform, which is a similar solution for the online world.

Aimed at wireless carriers, handset makers and software developers, Open Mobile comprises three modules. The Mobile Internet piece lets developers put their mark on Bebo’s mobile Web site.
