After successive runs with Country Home, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Vanity Fair, Susan Naci in recent years was working more directly on the entrepreneurial side. First as CEO of luxury cosmetics subscription service Glossybox U.S.A.; then as a partner with 32 Laight Street Partners, where she was focused on cosmetic and apparel industry opportunities.

Naci is now blending together her dual career tracks as head of global brand partnerships for digital media and events concern Beautycon Media, which, like Glossybox, encompasses an e-commerce subscription delivery component. Her hiring follows the recent raising of $9 million in Series A funding from A+E Networks, Live Nation and Main Street Advisors.

“We are thrilled for Susan to bring her relationships and creative strategies to help continue to build the Beautycon brand,” Beautycon Media CEO Moj Mahdara tells Fishbowl. “Susan will focus on marketing strategies and specifically as they relate to brands and content. She has an amazing track record and we are excited for her to be a strong asset for the Beautycon brand as we roll out new programs and continue to expand. We are excited for Susan to expand our New York presence.”

There are 35 employees in the Los Angeles office, and now, with Naci, four on the New York side. A rep tells Fishbowl there are plans to hire eight more people on the East Coast, some possibly overlapping with positions previously posted for the West Coast office.

Naci continues to serve as an adjunct professor at New York’s LIM College, teaching about fashion branding, retail and promotions. She started at Beautycon Media May 19.
