Bankrupt WLNE In Providence Will Be Sold

TV Station WLNE ABC-Channel 6, in Providence, R.I., is for sale, reports the Providence Journal.

The station went into receivership, a form of bankruptcy, in July; now the court-appointed receiver has said that the station has already garnered a good deal of interest from at least three unnamed groups: a bunch of local investors, a media company based in New York, and another in the Midwest.

Meanwhile, the station is doing “business as usual” and the receiver has said that he expects no changes to the station’s 88 staff members prior to the sale.
