Author Joe Konrath Sells A Lot More Books On Amazon Than iBookstore
Thriller author Joe Konrath sells a lot more eBooks through the Kindle store than through the iBookstore. On his blog last week, he said: “I sell 200 ebooks a day on Kindle. On iPad, I sell 100 a month.” While obviously an author’s sales channels will vary by genre and retailer, this does raise questions around Steve Jobs’ claim that Apple has 22% of the eBook market.
These sales figures are causing a dilemma for Konrath, as he has observed that publishers are dropping authors and not printing as many books.
