Attention, Kmart (and Sears) Job Seekers

Sears Holdings, parent company of Sears and Kmart, will post more than 7,000 job openings at the two giant retail chains on microblogging service Twitter, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The company said the job tweets will be posted by TweetMyJobs, and Rich Trombetta, a co-founder of that company, told the Tribune TweetMyJobs charges $1.99 for single posts, $4,000 for 500 postings, and $8,000 for unlimited postings. Other TweetMyJobs clients include McDonald’s and Motorola, according to the Tribune, which added that companies can track the number of clicks on job postings.

Sears director of talent and human-capital-services operations Lance Brolin told the Tribune the company wants to explore what social media can offer in employment, advertising, and getting its message to the right candidates, adding, “We are marketing the employment brand and also marketing potential customers.”
