Atlantic's New Health Channel Debuts Today
Today, TheAtlantic.com introduces the Health channel, a new section aimed at health and wellness. There will be six areas of coverage: mind, body, food, sex, family, and public health. Nicholas Jackson, who was named channel editor in September, will spearhead the section.
On the site this morning are stories about men and cancer (they don’t bother to get tested), dreams healing mental wounds, alcohol leads to unsafe sex (it happens) and more. In the alcohol/sex story, studies reveal that the more you drink (women, four drinks, men, five) the more likely you are to have sex without a condom.
