At Career Circus, Experts Stress Importance of Building a Meaningful Social Presence

Lindsay Pollak, author, speaker and consultant for LinkedIn, urged attendees to “listen twice as much as you talk.” She stressed that too many people are just “showing up” on Twitter, LinkedIn or other social networks, but not engaging or embracing them to their fullest.
“People throw up a page, but they don’t actively manage it,” she said.
