ASME Introduces Revised Ad Guidelines For Magazines

Big news for magazines today: For the first time in five years, the American Society of Magazine Editors has published a revised set of guidelines on keeping ads and editorial content separate. The guide will cover, among other things, wraparounds sponsored by companies, sponsored sections within magazines, interruptive advertising and ad adjacencies.

ASME is also working on updating its guidelines concerning digital publications and increasingly invasive online ads, which is due out sometime next year.

The complete, updated print guidelines can be found right here.
