Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg’s return trip from South Korea was nearly an unforgettable one for all of the wrong reasons, as she was originally booked on Asiana Airlines Flight 214, which crashed on a runway in San Francisco Saturday, killing two passengers and injuring several more.

Samsung Electronics Executive Vice President David Eun was a passenger on the Asiana flight and was unhurt. Facebook Director of Global Communications and Public Affairs Debbie Frost, Business Lead Charlton Gholson, and Administrative Assistant Kelly Hoffman were on a United Airlines flight with Sandberg and her family.
