Are You a Conversationalist or Creator?

According to Social Technographics, a new study from Forrester Research, one-third of Internet users post status updates on social-networking sites at least once per week, ReadWriteWeb reported.

Forrester refers to those users as conversationalists and says more than one-half of them are female and 70% of them are above the age of 30, according to ReadWriteWeb.

People who publish their own blogs or upload their own audio, which Forrester calls creators, account for 24% of Internet users, while joiners, or people who maintain social-networking profiles, total 59%, according to ReadWriteWeb.

According to Mashable, the highest concentration of generation-Y online users are creators, with 37% between 18 and 29, and the average conversationalist has an annual household income of $81,300.
