ArcLight Cinemas Spreads Out to San Diego
San Diego is finally getting a world class movie house. ArcLight Cinemas just announced that they are building an 1,800-seat, 14-screen multiplex at the Westfield UTC mall near La Jolla. The theater will be ArcLight’s first outside of LA County.
The new ArcLight represents a significant upgrade in luxury from San Diego’s existing movie houses. But more importantly, it will be one of the few places showing art house flicks. It’s basically a cinematic wasteland outside of Hillcrest.
