Apple's App Store Launches Food & Drink Category
Apple has offered food and restaurant related apps since the App Store opened, but now the company is giving Food & Drink its own category.
Apps in the category include apps from chain restaurants and grocery stores, recipe apps, and restaurant searching apps. The LA Times has more about the new category: “As of this writing more than 7,600 apps are gathered willy nilly under this category. That’s a lot of browsing and, like any category out there, some of the apps are useful and even brilliant, others not so much.”
