We continue to follow the clues that lead inevitably to the hoped-for possibility of the myth of the Apple tablet. Here are more rumors from around the Web.

MacRumors reports on the disappearance of Fingerworks is a company that pioneered multitouch technology. Apple bought the company years ago, and it’s been widely speculated that it will incorporate Fingerworks technology into the tablet.

And Mashable also reports on a sudden shortage of 10.1-inch screens among Asian manufacturers, because, apparently, Apple has ordered them all.

Here’s a Reuters story from last week that details Apple suppliers that are gearing to manufacture what seems to be tablet parts.
