Apple Beats HP In Mobile PC Sales
A growth in iPad shipments in Q4 2010 places Apple at the top of DisplaySearch’s market share ranking of worldwide mobile PC shipments, beating out HP. Apple had 17.2% of the market share, while HP had 15.6%.
According to preliminary results from the NPD Group’s DisplaySearch Quarterly Mobile PC Shipment and Forecast Report, Apple shipped more than 10.2 million notebook and tablet PCs combined, almost a million more units than HP in Q4 2010.
Acer Group, Dell and Toshiba also made the top 5 list, representing almost 33% of the worldwide market share combined.
