Yesterday, CNET and E! Online co-founder Kevin Wendle and MusicNation and Original Signal co-founder Daniel Klaus announced the launch of AppFund, a multimillion dollar fund to support the development of iPad apps. Investments will range from $5,000 to $500,000.

The fund’s founders, both of whom are longtime tech investors, think the iPad is a game-changer for just about everything. Here’s what they say: “We believe the iPad is a revolutionary device with the ability to transform everything from the way consumers experience content media and social networking to the way business can use applications to revolutionize their operations.”

So, eBook visionaries, get your proposals together because AppFund is ready to look at them now, with the intention of helping to get its first apps to market by this summer. Submit at submissions@appfund.net.
