AOL’s New Executive Team

AOLLogo.jpgpaidContent obtained an internal memo from AOL chairman and CEO Tim Armstrong outlining the new management structure at the company.

New appointments included Jeff Levick taking responsibility for scaling and rolling out the company’s self-service advertising platform; John Kannapell, who had been overseeing AOL’s search and local initiatives, to acting head of local and mapping; Jon Brod, who was with Patch before AOL acquired it, as head of AOL Ventures; Kim Partoll promoted to chief operating officer; Phil Nelson taking on the role of head of Asia-Pacific; and Ted Cahall promoted to chief technology officer.

Executives remaining in their current posts include Bill Wilson leading content efforts, general counsel Ira Parker, human-resources head Dave Harmon; corporate-communications head Tricia Primrose; Office of Diversity and Inclusion head Tiane Mitchell Gordon; chief ethics and compliance officer Kimberly Strong and chief of staff Maureen Marquess.

The company is still looking to fill some openings, including global head of communications, head of European operations and chief financial officer (replacing Nisha Kumar).
