AOL’s Cate Carley Joins iVillage as VP, East Coast Sales

iVillageLogo.jpgiVillage tapped former AOL regional sales director Cate Carley as its new vice president of East Coast sales, where she will be responsible for driving revenue across all areas of the NBC Universal-owned women’s-targeted site and developing advertising solutions enabling marketers to tap its female audience.

Carley focused on the health and pharmaceutical industry at AOL, serving as health category sales director from 2005-08 before being promoted to her last position, and she also has experience with Time Inc., WPP Group, and Grey Healthcare.

She will report to iVillage senior vice president of advertising sales Joseph Lagani, who said:

Cate is joining the team at a great time. Our newly redesigned site is clearly resonating with both our members, as well as the ad community, with double-digit increases in both traffic and new business in the first quarter. We expect to continue that momentum as we roll out the new Family and Beauty & Style vertical sites later this year. Cate’s digital experience and connections in the industry will be invaluable as we continue to forge new advertising partnerships.
