AOL to Debut Long-Form Video Series

For what it's worth, the show is really popular in Israel

AOL is partnering with FremantleMedia International (FMI) to debut its first long-form video series. Connected — which was originally launched in Israel in 2009 — will debut on AOL’s On Network in March.

Nate Hayden, VP of AOL Originals and Branded Entertainment, said the company was “thrilled to share the unique voice of Connected with a worldwide audience.”

Connected follows the lives of six New Yorkers whose lives eventually become… Wait for it… Connected. If that doesn’t sound too enticing, we understand. However, the show is quite popular almost everywhere else but here.

Connected is now one of Israel’s highest-rated cable TV shows ever, and has been sold to 11 other markets, including France, Ireland, Holland, India, Finland, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands.
