AOL Scoops Up Former Condé Nast Gourmet, Bridal Magazine Editors

Condé Nast’s loss is, evidently, AOL’s gain. The internet company has hired a slew of former Condé Nast employees for two new sites: Kitchendaily.com, a cooking website, and Aisledash.com, an online destination for brides-to-be.

Anne Chertoff, formerly senior editor and spokeswoman for brides.com, is Aisledash’s new editor in chief. Joining her are various former editors from bridal magazines that have folded, including Modern Bride and InStyle Weddings.

For Kitchendaily, AOL looked to former Gourmet staffer Cheryl Brown to fill the role of editor, with the magazine’s former executive food editor, Kemp Minifie, test kitchen director Ruth Cousineau, and food editor Gina Marie Miraglia Eriquez to act as contributors.
