Anti-Malware Firm F-Secure Q&A About iPhone JailBreakMe

The single step (from the end-user point of view) web-based JailBreakMe iPhone jailbreak process created quite a stir last week. It used an exploit weakness in Apple’s Safari mobile web browser to jailbreak any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. This exploit uses a specially crafted Adobe Acrobat PDF file to cause a buffer overrun that let the app take control of an iOS device. I commented on it and provided a screenshot tour of breaking my SIM-less iPhone 3G.
