Angeleno needs you, sort of

Our mothership, mediabistro.com, has published a handy guide about how to pitch to Angeleno, one of our city’s many upscale lifestyle magazines. Editor-in-chief Alexandria Abramian-Mott, who says the publication caters to “wealthy shoppers,” pithily sums up the class structure of Los Angeles:

“Our readers live in big houses in the hills,” says Abramian-Mott, “and need a very good reason to come down from those hills.”

Abramian-Mott also notes that pitching to luxury magazines is difficult for journalists because luxury “isn’t necessarily accessible to writers.”
