In her ‘Critical Shopper’ column, the NYT‘s Alex Kuczynski visits celeb-trash shopping haunt Kitson and is (surprise!) underwhelmed. I guess this is the kind of LA story that’s explicitly written for out-of-towners, so I’m not going to respond with ‘duh’, but I mean, come on! As evidenced by this piece, Kuczynski’s lifestyle is a lot closer to that of Kitson’s customer base than just about any other journalist you could name, which makes her naivete surprising.
