FBLA has just learned that LAT music biz reporter Charles Duhigg is leaving for the New York Times — the same fly-by-night outfit that stole former LAT music biz reporter Jeff Leeds.

For the LAT, Duhigg did a stint in Iraq, exposed payola schemes and threw a wet blanket on mix-tape makers with his story declaring in no uncertain terms that copying music is a violation of federal law.
