Amtrak Is Launching a New Magazine

Who needs working Wi-Fi when you have a new magazine to read?

Amtrak is hoping a new magazine, The National, will make people forget just how awful its Wi-Fi continues to be.

The New York Post reports that The National will be a bimonthly publication produced by British travel publisher Ink. The title is replacing Arrive, which is distributed only in Amtrak’s Northeast sector.

The National, set to debut in October, will feature longform pieces “about things going on around the network and stories about people on the train,” said Ink CEO Simon Leslie.
