Amazon has been amazingly careful about never releasing sales figures for their Kindle ebook reader devices. And, despite what the press release headline below says, they still have not released any figures.

Amazon notes that the 3rd generation Kindle has sold more units than the final volume of the Harry Potter book series. However, Amazon does not mention what the sales figure for the book is.
