Amazon Redesigned Its Kindle Mobile App and Added Goodreads Integration on iOS

Goodreads integration will come to Android in the future

Amazon launched a redesigned Kindle application on iOS and Android, featuring a more readily accessible search bar, an updated bottom navigation menu (containing a button allowing users to quickly return to their current book) and more.

While both the iOS and Android versions of the Kindle app have received the visual redesign, the iOS version has also been updated with Goodreads integration, bringing a variety of social features to the experience. Amazon acquired Goodreads, a popular social network for readers, in 2013.

With this integration, iOS users can now browse a new Community tab to see what their friends or users they follow are reading.
