Amazon Prime’s iOS app now features Airplay

When Amazon first launched its instant video app Prime for iOS, users let out a collective groan when they realized the service didn’t work with Apple TV’s Airplay.

The same users can now let out a collective cheer as Amazon has finally updated the app to support Airplay, enabling Apple fans to now push the movies and TV shows downloaded from Amazon’s expansive library to their Apple TV.

Also included in the 2.1 update is a deeper integration with IMDB, enabling anyone to simply navigate cast lists, trivia, and quotes straight from the app, instead of opening a new window to see if you really did just see a young Bruce Willis sitting in the back of the courtroom during one of the final scenes of Paul Newman’s The Verdict (you did).
