Amazon Extends 70% Royalty Option to Germany, Austria
The German Kindle Store launched today, and as part of the launch Amazon has expanded the coverage of its high profit 70% royalty option.
Germany and Austria join Canada, UK, USA, Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland–a total of eight countries where eBook creators earn the 70% of the sale price. Note that this option depends on where the customer is located, not where the eBookstore is placed nor the location of the publisher. A publisher will need to request this option and price its eBooks between $2.99
