Amazon Cuts Off Lendle

Should eBook lending companies be able to take advantage of Amazon’s eBook lending policies? The eBook lending connection service Lendle has been cut off by Amazon.

The company connected Kindle users who wished to take advantage of Amazon’s digital book lending service.

Lendle tweeted the news this afternoon: “Amazon has revoked Lendle’s API access. This is why the site is down. It’s sad and unfortunate that Amazon is shutting down Lending sites … According to Amazon, Lendle does not ‘serve the principal purpose of driving sales of products and services on the Amazon site.'”
