Amazon Cloud Player App Now On iPhone

On the heels of news of a new Apple iCloud update, Amazon has made its Cloud Player app available for the iPhone.  Beginning today, Amazon’s iPhone app will let customers stream and download music stored in Cloud Player. The app has full access to Amazon’s Cloud Player music libraries so iPhone users can add playlists from their iPhone.

Yesterday, Apple announced that support for the iCloud is built into Mountain Lion OS X, so that Apple users can sync their apps and music libraries across devices.

Steve Boom, VP of digital music at Amazon, stated: “Customers tell us that they want access to all of their music, wherever they are, and on all of the devices they use. By bringing Cloud Player to iPhone and iPod touch, we now have the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available, giving our customers the ability to buy once and enjoy their music everywhere.”
