Amazon Brings Cloud Player App To the iPad

Amazon has updated its Amazon Cloud Player app for iOS devices making it available for the iPad and the iPad Mini. The free app, was previously available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, but has now been optimized for Apple tablets.

The app lets customers stream music stored in Amazon’s Cloud Player on their device. Users can either download their existing library to the device or they can play music from the cloud. The play will also play music that is already stored on their device.

“We introduced our Cloud Player app for iPhone and iPod touch last summer and it’s been incredibly popular with our customers so we’ve now expanded it to iPad,” explained Steve Boom, VP of digital music for Amazon, in a statement. “Our goal is to make Cloud Player the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available, giving our customers the ability to buy their music once and enjoy it everywhere.”
