The Amazon Appstore is Coming Soon to Japan
Amazon has been planning to launch a Japanese Kindle Store for some time now and today the retail giant showed signs that they might be launching the Amazon Appstore there soon as well.
This morning Amazon announced that Android app developers can now submit apps for the Japanese market. Amazon hasn’t told us exactly when they plan to sell Android apps in Japan, but clearly this is coming.
“Opening our portal to app and game developers looking to reach Japanese customers is an important milestone as we strive to serve consumers and developers globally,” says Jim Adkins, Vice President of the Amazon Appstore.
Amazon recently launched the Amazon Appstore in Italy, UK, France, Germany, and Spain, giving app developers more opportunities to grow their business.
