Always Apologize On A Saturday, and other media lessons from Arianna Huffington

What are Saturday mornings for? Taking out the trash, running to the dry-cleaner, and, if you’re a media figure besotted by unwanted attention in the press, releasing an apology for your misdeeds which you hope will clear your reputation but in terms of actual coverage, will slip between news cycles.

Or, who knows? I should try not to be cynical. So maybe Huffington really did wake up on Saturday morning and in a moment of gnosis, understand that she misled her readership.

Anyway, she’s sorry, it won’t happen again, and she’d like to thank everyone who’s been so critical of her.
