In Touch Feeds the Alec Baldwin Media Beast

Shutterstock_AlecBaldwinWhat exactly did Baldwin do this time? Well, according to the In Touch Weekly exclusive, he was handcuffed by some NYPD after biking the wrong way through Manhattan and then, when stopped, not having ID.

At the end of its “still developing” story, In Touch shares two very different eyewitness accounts. For Baldwin’s sake and, in large part, our own, let’s hope the first of the two witnesses quoted is the accurate one.

Page Six has GPS details of both the arrest – East 15th and 6th Avenue – and alleged nearby two-wheel infraction:

“Alec was riding his bicycle the wrong way on Fifth Avenue this morning and, when he was stopped by police, he didn’t have ID, so he was handcuffed and arrested.”

Meanwhile, at this early news-cycle stage, New York magazine has the best headline.
