Alan Abrahamson Joins USC Annenberg Staff
Longtime LA Times sportswriter Alan Abrahamson is the latest journo to accept a faculty appointment at USC Annenberg’s J-school. He’ll be teaching graduate level sports journalism as well as a class called “Sports and Society”.
Heady.
After 17 years at the paper, Abrahamson left the Times in 2006 to write for NBC’s various sports-related blogs. Good timing to say the least.
Abrahamson also launched his own Olympic-themed blog 3 Wire Sports less than a year ago.

May 2, 2011 — As the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism continues to expand its sports journalism program, the school announced Monday the faculty appointment of Alan Abrahamson, veteran Olympics reporter, award-winning sportswriter and best-selling author.
Abrahamson, whose résumé includes four years as a columnist for NBC’s online websites and 17 years at the Los Angeles Times, will bring his sports journalism expertise to the school’s Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism program....
