Advanstar Outsources 100 Jobs
B2B publisher Advanstar is outsourcing all print production-related operations to HCL Technologies; this cuts 100 jobs at Advanstar, minonline reports.
HCL will handle all magazine and directory assembly as well as inserts.
The laid-off Advanstar employees are being offered four months of temporary employment, which hopefully doesn’t affect their unemployment benefits.
“Because of its impact on our employees and their families, this was not a decision we made lightly,” CEO Joe Loggia said in a statement.
