Adobe Launches Photoshop Fix Photo Editing App on iOS

The app allows users to edit their photos using a selection of desktop Photoshop features.

Adobe has announced the release of Photoshop Fix, its new photo editing app on iOS devices. The free app offers popular features from the desktop Photoshop experience, like the Healing Brush and Liquify menu.

Photoshop Fix allows users to import images from Creative Cloud or Lightroom, as well as from Facebook, Dropbox or their camera roll. Users can also take new photos within the app. In addition to basic photo-editing tools for cropping or changing an image’s saturation, contrast and more, the app also offers tools like Spot Healing for removing blemishes or other objects from an image, as well as the ability to paint parts of each image with specific colors. Users can choose a custom paint color using the Color Picker menu, or select a matching color from their image using the ‘Pick Color’ tool.

When editing a portrait, users have access to Face Point nodes, which allow them to alter specific facial features (give someone a smile, for instance). Other tools allow users to lighten, darken or ‘defocus’ specific areas of an image, add a vignette effect and more.

When users are done editing on their phone or tablet, they can send their images to Photoshop CC for further editing, keeping each image’s separate layers intact. Users can also save photos to their camera roll, or share them on social media.

Photoshop Fix is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
