Calling all business journalists! Advertising Age is on the hunt for a smart, aggressive reporter to cover Midwest ad agencies and several marketing beats in its Chicago office. If you’ve ever laid eyes on the publication, you know it’s going to take a savvy writer to score this gig.
In addition to reporting the news, you should be adept at coming up with innovative story angles and be able to step back and analyze the big picture. The editorial team at Ad Age is fast-paced and deadline-oriented, so you also need to be comfortable with breaking news and churning out compelling copy at a moment’s notice.
The ideal candidate has three to five years of writing experience with solid news judgment (one cool ad does not a story make), and will look like a golden child if he or she has knowledge of the ad agency business, beer/spirits, auto or sports-marketing. If you think you’ve got what it takes, apply here.
