ACLU of Northern California Asks: What Do Facebook Quizzes Know About You?
If you’re on Facebook and have taken a quiz such as, “Which REO Speedwagon song are you?” or “Which Sanford & Son character are you?,” you probably don’t see any harm in them, but the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California begs to differ.
The ACLU of Northern California launched a Facebook quiz of its own, “What Do Facebook Quizzes Know About You?,” to caution users of the social-networking service on how many Facebook quizzes can release user data including religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, photos, events, notes, wall posts and groups, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
