Watching the parade just now and all of the incredible amounts of security reminded us of the human cost of this inaugural. Richard Leiby’s Reliable Source column today points us to an item this morning about ABC correspondent Pierre Thomas:
[Thomas] got stuck in gridlock Tuesday night, so he jumped from the car and raced, tape in hand, toward the network’s downtown studio. On the way, he tripped and broke his left wrist, but saved the tape.
