A Widget on EveryBlock

EveryBlock founder Adrian Holovaty told paidContent the msnbc.com-owned hyperlocal news aggregator will launch a customizable widget, which third-party sites can use to offer information about a specific location, including 911 dispatches, restaurant inspections, and other local news.

Holovaty and msnbc.com director of new product development Cory Bergman told paidContent the new widget is targeted toward neighborhood news blogs, and it is meant to complement local coverage. A blog started by Bergman and his wife, MyBallard, which focuses on a neighborhood in Seattle, will be one of the first to adopt the widget, paidContent reported.
