A Good, Albeit Familiar, Couple of Laughs

Here’s a nice little bit of funny in response to the US Postal Service’s announcement that they’re going to start allowing stamps to carry advertisements: “Ad Space Now Available on Jim Morrison’s Tombstone!” It’s familiar territory, of course, and we’re sure this essay was written in response to the Burma Shave highway ads of the 50’s (“Geez, is anything sacred anymore?!”). But it’s still quite funny, the longer the list goes on. Yet some of them, had the writer of the piece gone that extra mile, would’ve seen that some of the more absurd ideas have already been done. Babies used for advertising?! Already been done on countless occasions.
