$99 Windows CE-based Netbook Heading to a CVS Drug Store Near You This Fall

When the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project started in 2005, its goal was to product sturdy notebooks that could be used by children in developing nations and cost $100 each. This didn’t happen. The OLPC sold for $200 each and didn’t get the global reach it hoped for. It did, however, inspire the netbook computer movement.

Liliputing reports that the $100 netbook is finally becoming a reality in 2010. And, it will be found in a somewhat unexpected (to me) venue: CVS drug stores.
