According to data from Twitter, the five most-discussed moments during the event were:

  3. Game of Thrones wins best drama.
  4. Veep wins best comedy.
  5. Sarah Paulson wins best actress in a limited series.

The five most-tweeted-about stars were:

  1. Maslany
  2. Paulson
  3. Malek
  4. Kate McKinnon
  5. Julia Louis-Dreyfus

And the five most-tweeted-about TV shows during Sunday night’s Emmy Awards were:

  1. Game of Thrones
  2. Orphan Black
  3. Mr. Robot

  5. Veep

Several celebrities and public figures took to Twitter to share their preparations for Emmy night, and examples are embedded below.

Meanwhile, Facebook said in an email to SocialTimes that more than 9 million users were behind some 14 million Emmy-related interactions Sunday night.

The top three social moments on Facebook were:

  2. Game of Thrones wins best drama.
  3. Sterling K. Brown wins best supporting actor in a limited series or TV movie.

Amd scenes from the red carpet, as well as the monologue by host Jimmy Kimmel, came alive on Facebook via 360-degree videos.
