5th Planet Games has announced a partnership with Felicia Day’s ‘The Guild’ to bring members from the popular web series to its MMORPG Dawn of the Dragons. The partnership lasts from now until the end of the year, and gives players a chance to interact with their favorite characters while defeating monsters throughout the game.

This campaign includes appearances by “The Guild’s” main characters, including Codex, Zaboo, Vork, Bladezz, Clara and Tinkerballa. Each character will be featured one at a time, for a limited time, as a premium character available in the Dawn of the Dragons Bazaar.

As each new character is introduced to the game, in-game events will also be released. According to 5th Planet, the release of the first character, Tinkerballa, was met with purchases three times higher than normal Generals added to the game.

“I’m a big fan of 5th Planet’s games, and we are all very pleased to bring our characters to such a engaging and unique game as Dawn of the Dragons,” said Felicia Day, creator and star of “The Guild,” in a company statement. “The 5 Planet team was fun to work with and brought a lot of passion to the project. They’ve gone to great lengths to remain loyal to the tone of the show and the characters. It’s easy to see why their games have been so successful to date.”

The Guild is an independent web series about a group of online gamers. Since debuting in 2007, the show has been watched over 250 million times. This partnership with 5th Planet Games is the first partnership that will bring the characters into a real video game.

Dawn of the Dragons is now available to download on iOS and Google Play for Android. It’s also available to play in web browsers and on Facebook. You can follow the game’s progress throughout this lengthy promotion on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
